SUMMARY:Promotion of Agricultural Products: High-Level Mission of European Commissioner Hansen to Japan\, June 8-13\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Join the mission and explore new business opportunities! \nWe would like to inform you that Commissioner Hansen will visit Japan from June 8-13\, 2025\, accompanied by a business delegation that will include up to 100 senior executives from European companies and agricultural and food sector producer organizations. \nThis mission will combine official meetings of the Commissioner with Japanese government officials\, as well as promotional activities involving the business delegation. \nThese activities will include: \n\nSeminars on the characteristics of the local market and consumer trends.\nVisits to retail stores and production facilities.\nNetworking opportunities with local stakeholders and businesses.\nParticipation in events at the World Expo in Osaka\, where the EU has a pavilion. The Commissioner will inaugurate a high-level event to which business representatives are invited to participate.\n\nThe entrepreneurs participating in the mission should primarily\, but not exclusively\, represent the following sectors: \n\nMeat production\, processing\, and selling (beef\, pork\, poultry)\nProcessed agricultural products\nDairy products (with emphasis on cheeses)\nWine\, beer\, and alcoholic beverages\nOlive oil\nFruits and vegetables\n\nThe Commissioner wishes to include companies from all EU Member States in the business delegation\, focusing particularly on SMEs with reliable export capacity\, as well as large companies\, and national and European producer organizations from key sectors with significant prospects for EU-Japan trade and cooperation. \nParticipation & Financial Obligations: \n\nSenior executives from producer organizations and individual businesses may participate.\nParticipants must attend the entire program.\nTravel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the participants themselves.\nOnly one person per company/organization can officially participate in the business mission.\nAccompanying members may attend\, but their access to certain events may be restricted due to the size of the mission.\n\nApplication Submission: \nInterested organizations and businesses are invited to complete the online application form by 9th of February 2025\, at the following link: https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/HLM_Japan_2025 \nFor any clarifications\, you can contact the Research Executive Agency (REA) directly via email: REA-AGRI-EVENTS@ec.europa.eu. \n  \nStalo Demosthenous Senior Oficer CCCI | Directorate of European Affairs | Coordinator of Enterprise Europe Network Cyprus Tel. 22889752\, stalo@ccci.org.cy
