Information Announcement – Regulatory obligations for businesses with LPG Installations or storage facilities

We would like to inform you that the Department of Labour Inspection (DLI), in its efforts to enhance workplace safety and support businesses in complying with legislation, has identified that some companies falling under the scope of the 2021 Regulations (Regulatory Administrative Act 189/2021) have not yet submitted their Compliance Dossier for their liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) installations.

Therefore, we encourage all businesses that have LPG installations or storage areas exceeding the prescribed limits to take timely action. Doing so will contribute to ensuring the health and safety of their personnel and the wider community.

What is provided by the Regulation:

A Compliance Dossier is required for anyone who has:

  • LPG cylinders with a total quantity exceeding 1,200 kg, and/or
  • LPG tanks with a total water capacity equal to or greater than 2,500 liters.

How to submit:

  • The dossier must be submitted to the Chief Labour Inspector, either in printed form or electronically (PDF up to12ΜΒ).
  • A submission fee of €200 is required in advance.
  • The necessary forms and related instructions can be found on the DLI website under the section: “Forms and Applications” → “Liquefied Petroleum Gas” (CLICK HERE)

It is reminded that the timely submission of the Compliance Dossier and the presence of a Periodic Inspection Report by a certified Inspector, in accordance with the Regulations, are critical steps in ensuring the safety of installations and in avoiding any legal liabilities.

It is noted that the objective is not to impose penalties, but to support businesses in complying easily and effectively with the provisions of the legislation.
