EEN Cyprus, Greece & Czechia join forces to unlock innovation and business opportunities in Athens

International matchmaking event connects research, industry and SMEs to explore EU funding and build strategic partnerships


EEN Hellas, EEN Cyprus and EEN Czechia are pleased to announce the Research and Innovation Matchmaking Event 2026, a two-day international gathering to be held on 8-9 June at the Syggrou Estate in Marousi, Athens

The event is co-organised by key members of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), including the Cyprus Chamber of  Commerce and Industry, the European Office of Cyprus (EOC), the National Documentation Centre (EKT), PRAXI Network, the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chamber of Ioannina, the Chamber of Kavala, the Association of Industries of Thessaly & Central Greece, the Federation of Enterprises and Industries of Peloponnese & Western Greece, EVETAM S.A. (Societe Anonyme of Industrial Research, Technological Development, Laboratory Testing, Certification and Quality) and the coordinator of EEN Czechia, Czechinvest .

The event brings together academics, researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and industry representatives from Cyprus, Greece, Czechia and beyond. It aims to foster cross-border collaboration, strengthen partnerships, and support the development of competitive project consortia for major European Union funding programmes, including Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, CERV, and Creative Europe.

Designed for universities, research institutions, SMEs, start-ups and innovation multipliers, the matchmaking event offers a dynamic platform to exchange ideas, explore synergies, and initiate impactful collaborations.

The programme includes keynote addresses, success stories from participating countries, expert-led workshops on effective networking, and multiple rounds of pitching and structured networking sessions.

Participants can expect:

  • Pitching sessions showcasing project ideas, expertise, and technology offers
  • Tailored matchmaking meetings aligned with participants’ profiles and interests
  • Networking opportunities connecting research, industry, and innovation stakeholders
  • Funding-focused discussions on upcoming EU calls and strategic priorities

Call for Participation 

Organisations interested in participating are invited to submit an expression of interest by 29 May 2026, selecting one or more thematic areas.

Participants will also have the opportunity to compete for a place in the pitching sessions. Selected participants will present project ideas, expertise or collaboration requests related to the event’s themes and EU funding priorities.
