Research and Innovation Matchmaking Event 2026
Cyprus, Greece and Czechia
The European Office of Cyprus (EOC), as a member of EEN Cyprus, in cooperation with EEN Hellas and EEN Czechia, invites academics, researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs to participate in a two-day Research and Innovation Matchmaking Event, taking place in Athens, Greece, on 8 – 9 June 2026.
The event is designed for universities and research organisations, as well as companies, especially SMEs and start-ups, and innovation multipliers wishing to connect, explore synergies and build strong partnerships for current and upcoming opportunities under Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, CERV, Creative Europe, and other relevant EU programmes.
What to expect:
- Pitching sessions, where participants will have the opportunity to present project ideas, expertise offers and needs, technology solutions, and collaboration interests in a short and focused format
- Matchmaking sessions tailored to participants’ profiles and interests Networking activities bringing together research, industry and innovation multipliers
- Networking activities bringing together research, industry and innovation multipliers
- Funding-focused discussions on the most relevant EU programmes and upcoming call pipelines
The pitching sessions are intended to help participants showcase their interests and capacities, identify complementary partners, and stimulate the development of future project consortia and collaborations. More information on the pitching format, submission process and selection will be shared soon.
A dedicated matchmaking structure will ensure that meetings are purposeful, time-efficient and aligned with participants’ interests.

Expession of Interest:
Interested organisations are invited to express their interest by selecting one or more thematic areas by the 5th of May, 2026.

Call for Presentations/pitching:
A call for presentations will open to facilitate targeted collaboration among participants. Through the pitching sessions, selected participants will be invited to deliver short presentations highlighting a project idea, specific expertise, technology offer or need, or a partner search relevant to the event themes and EU funding opportunities. The submission template, pitching format and deadlines will be announced soon.
