The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), in cooperation with Enterprise Europe Network Cyprus, the Department of Environment Cyprus and the Cyprus Customs Department, is organizing an information seminar on the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), aiming to inform businesses about the new European requirements affecting imports of certain products from third countries.
The seminar will take place on Thursday, 19 March 2026, from 08:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m., at the CCCI Building in Nicosia (1st Floor).
During the seminar, officials from the Department of Environment and the Customs Department will present:
- the regulatory framework and the obligations of importers,
- the practical implementation of CBAM with examples of actual imports,
- the customs procedures and controls related to the
The seminar is particularly addressed to businesses involved in importing products that fall within the scope of CBAM, such as cement, aluminium, iron, steel, electricity and fertilisers, as well as to business consultants and compliance officers.
